I have baggage.  I know you’re thinking “Who doesn’t?”  Some of my bag: I have a kid, previously married, and anger issues.  I have come to realize that all baggage is not bad.  Some can go both ways.  

The thing about baggage is that you carry it with you.  From one place or relationship to the next.  The airlines loose a bag of yours while you’re traveling.  Other times you go shopping and buy new bags to add to the collection.  Every so often you get tired of carrying so many and get rid of some.

Yes, our baggage can weigh us down.  Some situations stick with us.  Even when we believe they are long and gone.  We are still holding on to some aspect of it.  We all have some old used up suitcase we need to throw away in the back of the closet.  It has sentimental value.  Was a great suitcase and you want to find another exactly like it.  Only one wheel is broke and you know it can be fixed!  That zipper can be put back on track, you just have to find the time to do it.

Then there is the camouflaging.  We try to hide our baggage by painting it colors, bedazzling it, and more!  Like any of this makes it any different.  It is just prettier now!  Other’s may not notice what is under all you paint and glitter, but eventually it will show.

We got to put down all our baggage.  Go through them bags and figure out what we need and do not need.  How we can fix the issues we have been stuffing in those bags!  Come clean to ourselves and others about what is at the bottom of the bags.
