I am over here doing cartwheels (in my head). Why am I so excited? I have ONE semester to go until I am done with my MBA program. Also, as of about ten minutes ago, my application for graduation has been submitted.

My coworker asked if she could buy my degree. She was dead ass too. I am trying to encourage her and tell her she can complete her undergraduate degree. She's been in school for two years and is feeling blah about it all. (UG aint got nothing on grad school. For reals.) In my 7+ years in school, I have been drained. Shoot, in life, I have been drained.

I've always known I was going to attend graduate school. My undergrad degree was to start my career. This MBA is for me. A goal of mine. I might complain (a lot), but I would not quit. Too much time has been dedicated to my schooling to quit. I was always of that mind. Even in the beginning of my MBA program.

Alas, school is not for everyone. I will continue to ask my coworker about school, but won't push her into finishing. Drive cannot be forced.

We've never really done up gifts for our anniversaries so we are going to give each other a gift on each day of the trip. It can be like a gift gift. or like an experience but the twist is that each day has to coincide with the traditional gifts for anniversaries… Here they are:

Between pregnancy, bedrest, hospital stays and now a little one who demands ALL the attention in the house, trying new recipes was just not on the top of my list.

Well the other night I had a hard time getting to sleep so I decided to watch ..what else…The Food Network Channel. I watched till the informercials started and then I headed over to BAB to check out the Whats for Dinner Section http://brownandbridal.com/f42/

Needless to say a spark was lit that night and im back on my cooking grind.   

I'll be recreating several of the recipes that you lovely ladies post, i'll also be trying a few receipes that I find here and there and also a few that I create myself.

SO when I went ot the Dr. I finally talked to him about my horrible, terrible, no good dandruff/scalp problems… He diagnosed me as having Seborrhic Dermatitties….  Read that last word again… HEE HEEE I'm soo immature… LOL  Anyhoo… THe doc said I had Seborrhic Dermatitis… That means dang your scalp is raggedy! LOL NO actually that means my scalp is JACKED… NO that means dandruff, itchiness, and general ornery scalp is the plague of my exsistence…

My doctor promptly pulled out the solution… A steriod shampoo that I need to use for daily washes…. No conditioners, no oils, no extra ness with my huuurrrr..

My doctor is lovely but…. Ummm My doctor is very knowledgeable BUT… My doctor graduated at the top of his class from Northwestern or Yale or some snooty snobby shit I liked when I googled him BUT…

He may be the whitest of white people… Cause Child THIS BLACK WOMAN is not going to be capable of daily hair washes, detangling sessions and using your extra dry ass super chemical ass shampoo EVERYDAY boo…. I gave him a side eye took the prescription and proceeded to forge myself a prescription for vicodin, oxycotin, and crack cocaine… Cause it is way more likely that I will ues all of that, than put that mess on my head….  I sorry… I just can't! A typical hair washing session takes me MINIMUM 4 HOURS… AIN'T NO WAY!

Well at least not until I have Googled my bootay off to come up with some natural remedies that will not have me and my hair a mess… I know my obsession with my hair is less than healthy but step by step homie, day by day!  Antyhoo…

I started googling my tail off! I found fab natural hair blogs and lord! SOOO Much infolations!! It was AMAZING!!!!And very timely, I had planned a very serious hair session for last weekend since we were going to the lake house and the water pressure there gives me the FEEVAAHHH!!

I know you think I'm crazy for waxing poetic about water pressure… BUT if you've ever prepared yourself for a LONG HOT shower with all ya smell goods and lit up ya candles, and turned up ya music, and  told your children and husband to go play in traffic while calgon took you away… Only to turn on the shower and watch three little sad drops trickle from the shower head and SLIDE DOWN THE TILED WALL… You know nothing of my pain… Living in the house o' low pressure sucks ass cranks, Flaming hots and foolery… And will not even discuss the temperature control issue… Hot, Cold, Hell, Igloo… These are the option that come from my faucets… Sweet Baby Jesus take me from this place to the land of fly bathrooms and fab water pressha… But I digress…

ANYWAY…. 

We went to the summer cottage last weekend… (How very french provincial of me! Don't hate. LOL) Anyway, knowing that we would be up there and that MIchael and the kids would be doing their we are ALL White, Half-White, and White-ish o' how we love nature hikes thing… I knew it would be time for me to do some I am COMPLETELY BLACK, like AFRICAN BLACK and COMPLETELY FAB, LIke BAB DIVA FAB so no thank you to the 6 hour nature hikes and I have idea why you pinkish people are so strange about nature time…

So I planned a massive beauty day, I brought allll my product junkie-ism treasures, pedi and mani equipment, music, my good robe… EERYTHANG! Eerythang 'cept for something that will help with my scalp..DAMN! No problem! I'll just fire up the lapteezy and figure something out!  And then MIchael causally mentions that it seems tha innanets are out at the cottage…

First I said this:

Seriously… Just like that… ' cept my afro was not a perfect as either of theirs… ( Ever notice that Florida Evans and Arnold Drummond had the same hairstyle?? :sings The More Youuu Knowww:)

So what did I do? Well I vaguely remembered some BABS, and some of the hair blogs singing the praises of apple cider vinegar… And there it was sitting in the cabinet at the cottaget so I threw caution to the fro and dumped the bottle on my head… SYKE!! Here is what I did… I put 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar and one cup of water into a spray bottle… I sectioned my hair and sprayed it directly on to my scalp. I massaged my scalp after spraying each section and then I went about my conditioning routine.. Then I had about half that mixture left so  i poured more water on it while in the shower and  used that as my final rinse… I was just going to leave it like that but then I got scared by the smell and seduced by the option of running that lovely water pressure all over my scalp again so I stood under the spray at full glorious blast for about 6 seconds… AND BABY My scalp looks, feels and is generally great!! I did try some other stuff but the ACV was the only thing that I specifically used for my scalp.. Its been about 6 days since I did it and I have just two sections that are very very lightly flaking…

YAY innanets!! YAY ACV!!! YAY MEE!!!

You know I realized this post could have been simply… I tried Apple Cider Vinegar on my scalp. It worked Beautifully. THE END.

Well not really, cause I really and truly say I do a FAN FUCKING TABULOUS caring for these kids.. I have my moments when its very fail-y But I think overall I'm a solid B +. And that doesn't not mean Btich with extra sauce Thank you very much!

Anyway, The twins are going to be 2 in like 2 minutes… They can walk up and down the steps by themselves, Shovel food in their mouths on their own ( we are working on the cutlery, homie… But 2 little boys and forks, spoons, and GASP!Knives is not the way to go most days), We are also feverently praying that sweet baby Jesus will come down from calvary and teach them how to pee in the potty IN JUST ONE DAY Beginning to think about potty training… Essentially the shift in my life is immesurable…

With my mom now taking them 3 days a week and Solstice in School… its a muthasucking revolution around this Beezy… I feel like I'm coing out of the MOMMYHOOD FOG… I think after almost  years of stay at home mom dom… I'm ready for this shift… No need  for it to be  a totall pack it up and head it out for my SAHm status but this switch is delightful…

So the only thing that could complicate my plan to begin Letting my full time status as a SAHM go… Is this…

So  Michael and I talked it over, and we decided that should get, what I've affectionately begun calling my "AYUDAME"… Ayuda Me means Help me in Spanish…. And HELP ME JESUS I got an I. U. D. YAY!!!

I am over the moon about it… you hear me… OvER THE MOON!… Mind you I've had it for less than a week and I'm still a skoshbit crampy…. But child…. I'm not with CHILD!!! Yet again I am inspired to do this….

Its a total life health thing… So I have been trying to do other things on my  get Senam fab list… I've been delaying, and delaying, and DELAYING going to get a complete physical for the LONGESSSSSST… I tweeted this but I hadn't been to the Dr.s for myself in almost TWO YEARS!! The twins are going to be 2 next month… This is what you call: FAIL..

So I signed my self up and over the last few weeks I have done the damn thing… I spent way too much time trying to find a doctor.. But thanks to my beloved YELP I think I found a good one. SHout Out to my moms for watching the kids while I went to my appts.

I wasn't really scared until we started doing my family gentic history…. Answereing those questions gave me the runs… Had my stomach doing flip flops!!

DO you have any history of Heart disease in your family?

Ummm… DO strokes count?

Uh, yeah…

Oh um well, My Dad had a stroke and My mom had TWO

Okay What what about high blood pressure?

Uh… yeah Both my parents got that… And TWO of my brothers

And Diabetes?

Yup my dad has that… And my mom was just marked as Pre-Diabetic….

I could go on to the other horrors of the family history questionaire… But umm, You get the point… The point is…. I'm in no position to be slacking on the healthy living… 

So he Ordered eight million lab tests and oil changes and a 500 point inspection for me… I was TERRIFIED… I just knew the test were going to come back as DAMN This bitch is DEAD MEAT…

But Once again, Jesus is the HOMIE… And my test came back fabulous… Even my cholesterol was outstanding… Which is a shock cause me and Fried Chicken are like THIS:

Also that picture is COMPLETELY ignorant and HORRIFICALLY Hilarious… Don't act like you ain't never had no chicken that made you want to do the percolator or the roger rabbit… Its happened to the best of us.. Black and WHITE… Chicken is delicious… Ya'll see the way he hit the pop pose after he takes a bite… AAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!! I can't stop laughing…

Okay back to the tests… Everything was GREAT! My sugar, My blood pressure, all the 500 point tests that they did I passed with flyigng colors… The only thing was that I was sorta on the lower side for Iron… Just above borderlin Anemia… While thats not Ideal he suggest some vitamins and and Iron pill and I'm on my way…. I can't even tell you the kind of joy that brought me… I felt renewed… I just knew I was going to have every ailment possible beacuse of the horrible way I have taken care of myself in the past… But I feel like I got a pass on this one and I'm going to use it…

I mean imagine… MY body is still running fabulously despite my poor treatment of it…  What would happen if I gave my body rich whole foods to eat, exercised, rested well and treated myself right? I can't wait to find out…

Everyone is doing well here. Cassius and Clay have discovered the power of NO! Its seriously Clay's most favoritest word in the history of ever… Or just the 18 months that he has been on the earth, lol… They both are very sweet and loving and completely hilarious. Yesterday night while I was asking God why BET hates black people, wondering how many bottles of Visine Chris Brown had in his pockets, Judging everyone, Screaming like a justin Bieber fan when El Debarge sang, Booing the Prince Tribute,watching the BET Awards. Every time there was a performance the twins and Solstice would break it all the way down…

Good Lord… I started writing this is June and am just now getting back to it… If that don't tell you that my life is busy I really don't know what else will…

Things are getting wayyyy better with my mom. What can I say other than Prayer works… LOL. Really I think it just that she is sooo happy in her new house that she is just a generally more pleasant person to be around. I didn't really calculate it out in my head properly. But her moving a mere 10 mins away from my house has been OUTSTANDING!! Do you hear me!! OUTSTANDING!!! There are still plenty of times when she drives me completely crazy… But in life you have to take the good with the bad sometimes… She been taking the kids a few days a week so I can get some work done… So that good outweighs a whoooollleee lotta bad! LOL

Tony is 13… Not twelve, Not a tween… But a teen… Gross… I want little boy Tony who loved Picachu and The Ninja Turtles… Not this person who turned thirteen one day and immediately signed up for Megan Fox is hot weekly the next!

Alanis is desperately fighting Bieber fever… She's just way too cool to be like all those other silly girls screaming and yelling over that really really UGGGLLLYYY boy…. But if I'm not mistaken I could have sworn I heard her  singing BABY BABY BABY  OOOHHHHHHH while taking one of her 80 hour showers… Also when he is on TV she somehow manages to lurk int he room and place herself DIRECTLy in front of the television… Not cause she wants to watch him but because she is borrreeed and there nothing else to do… SIDE EYE!!!

Cassius is OBBSESSED with Yo Gabba Gabba. Well both of the twins are but with Cassius its a very very serious thing… A few days ago during naptime… He stayed up in his crib Crying and MOANING, BBRRROOOBBEEEEEE, BBRRROOOOBBEEEEEE…. He got sooo upset that he made himself throw up…. Apparently there was a Party in his tummy… 

Clay is also a Yo Gabba Gabba head but really it about music… HE LOVES MUSIC… ANY KIND OF MUSIC…. Sometime I let them sit at the computer and I  Youtube a bunch of the songs they like…  Last week I was sitting at the computer working and Clay walked up to me and said " Nothin on Yooouuuuuuu, BAYBEEEE" and then pointed at the screen like Play my song, LADY!… HEE LARIOUS

Michael works too much… and thats all I'm going to say about that cause he is on my nerves…. I know SHOCK! Lol  I'm just wishing he understood that he needs to work on a better work life balance cause currently his balancing game SUCKS… But in his defense he stays trying to mack me ALL the way down…LOL yesterday we were in the kitchen and I was going on and on about how HGTV has made me into a home designing decorating zombie… I was telling him about my perfect dream house and all the fly stuff I was going to have in it… he looked blank as ever when I started talking about tray ceilings, and backsplashes… So then I said like don't you have like anything that you would  absolutely want in your perfect, forever dream house? He sorta shrugged and said, " Just you…"

Solstice is in school! HOOTIE HOOOO!!!! This is only her first full week and she was having a tough time with it but its getting better bit by bit… Thank yeeee Jesus! She has really been such a huge help and  is a fantastic little diva… She helps me put the babies to sleep. She helps me make dinner.She's totally fab…  I love every single bit of her!! ALL OF HER!! even her toe jams!  I wanted to do something fabulous for her to celebrate her big girliness but was at a loss. So when I was chosen to host a MixPups party for little girlsI knew the LIttlest Diva would love it so I thought hey what the heck we'll take a gander at these! So imagine my surprise when a HUGE box of these showed up at my door…

Really my surprise is nothing… Solstice is over the moon! They are these cute little dogs that you can mix and match and dress up and fab up in a million ways a very cute toy for little girls…In a few hours we will be having some of her and Alanis' friends over for our very own MixPup Party!

  I'm off to mix up the kibble… Okay it Chex Mix but get into it! LOL
