Happily Married and Cooking Easy

Filed in Candra , THE BABBIES , Uncategorized 2 comments

YES YES YES…Ive made my way to the renowned BAB Blog. I’m so excited about this and look forward to sharing so many of my ideas, thoughts and life’s adventures with you, from my home and from my kitchen.

On Saturday April 5, 2008 I married the love of my life and best friend.

Herb and I met about 14 years ago. We instantly meshed and became the best of friends. In so many words, we “grew up” together. Not as kids, but as 2 people going through life as young adults, making stupid mistakes and learning from those stupid mistakes. After several years of sharing mishaps, horror stories and depending upon one another for relationship advice, we decided to give US a try.

Cake Cutting Time

Our wedding was GORGEOUS (if I say so myself) Our colors were chocolate brown and sage green. It was held in the same city in which we met. We laughed, cried and partied till around 11pm that night. Afterwards, we changed clothes to go out and enjoy the remainder of the night with friends.

Two days after our wedding we flew to Hawaii and spent a week in Oahu. The island was beautiful and we had a fantabulous time. We tried to make the most of each and every minute by doing a ton of activities. (jet skis, snorkeling, para-sailing, etc.)

Heading out on the Jet Skis in Hawaii

Now that I’m wifey. I love to play around in my kitchen and cook for my DH. I absolutely love to cook however, I love to cook “The easy way”. I watch cooking shows all the time and then take those difficult, time consuming recipes and make them into my own. I also look for recipes in books that call for an all day process, and I attempt to convert them into a recipe that the working woman would have time to put together. I love short cuts, minimal ingredients and easy steps. I cook about 5 days out of the week. The other 2 are left for Hubby to take me out.

I plan to share with you some of the good, the bad and the ugly from my kitchen. Hopefully we can learn together and share new and fabulous recipes with each other.
