New BAB Blogger on the Block

Hello everyone.  I’m the newest Babbie Blogger.  I’m very excited to be able to share my wonderful walk down the aisle.

I’m getting married on September 27, 2008!  Yes it’s only 60 days away.  I’m marrying a man who is truly my best friend and my spiritual partner.  We have been through so much together and I could not imagine going through the rest of my life without him.  He is wonderful and he is my Mr. Chocolate Chip.

Mr. Chocolate Chip?  Yes, Chocolate Chip.  Have you ever had a fresh baked chocolate chip cookie and it makes you feel all warm on the inside and you just get this big grin on your face?  Well that’s the way he has made me feel since the day I met him.

I describe our wedding to everyone who will listen ”Bling on a Budget”.  I really want to create a very lavish feeling but accomplishing it by doing lots of DIY projects and bargain shopping. Our colors are DARK red, black, white, and we are incorporating the damask print.  I am the first person in my family to have a wedding.  No one in my family has ever had a wedding, can you believe that?  So they are in for a huge surprise because our wedding has so many details they will probably go into sensory over load.

When I’m not planning our fabulous wedding, I usually have my head stuck in a medical book.  I’m a full time student at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center.  God willing and able, I will become a Family Nurse Practitioner this December.  Secretly, this is the day that I’m really looking forward to the most.  I figured if school is over, then I would have already had my fabulous wedding and be Mrs. Chocolate Chip.  Also, I’m looking forward to be able to prescribe drugs!  I know that’s silly, but since I was a little girl I have been fascinated with signing my name and it looks so cool attached to a prescription for Penicillin!

Physicals Day

So that’s the basics.  Stay tuned because if the next 60 days are anything like the past two years of wedding planning, this is going to be a fun and bumpy ride.
