You tell me

This week I’ve decided to take a small challenge and switch things up a bit.

You tell me what to cook!!!

I’m asking you all to submit to me  a suggested main course dish, side dish, dessert or appetizer. There’s no need to submit an actual recipe, as I will create my own super easy version  of the dish and post for everyone to see. I’ll be very honest with my critique of the dish and how it turns out. I will post detailed information regarding the recipe and several photos of the step by step process in addition to the final dish.

So ladies…put your thinking caps on and let me know what you come up with.  I will consider all recipes and will try something new each week.

Wish me luck!

#1 Mariposa :

I made a really good peach pie for dessert yesterday. It only took about 5 peaches and less than an hour. This one was a big hit in my house.

I vote for Red Velvet Cake!! Everybody is always looking for a good and easy recipe for that!

And what about some kind of funky twist on a lasagna?
I also am always looking for something I can freeze that will reheat later nicely?

Come on Chef BoyarCandra! Hook me up!

I’ll suggest a main dish: chicken and rice! I need new ideas on how to spice that one up.

Mmmmm this post makes me hungry! I vote for pasta salad. I put everything but the kitchen sink in mine. I actually use bowtie or penne pasta, a pack of dry Hidden Valley Ranch mix, about 1/4 cup Ranch Salad Dressing, plus the traditional Italian Salad Dressing. I also add grated Parmesan Cheese, Kraft Colby Crumbles, Olives, Red Onions, Tomatoes, Cucumbers,etc.. & a meat choice like Chicken Breast, Shrimp or Turkey Pepperoni. It is always a hit & people ask me to make this all the time. It’s very filling.
